Shopify profit calculator
On your own store there is no marketplace commission, so the decisive number is customer acquisition cost. Enter your blended CAC as a per-unit advertising cost and see whether the margin survives it.

- Fulfilment and 3PL pick-and-pack costs
- Discount codes as a percentage or fixed amount
- Monthly plan, apps and software allocated across expected orders

Worked example
- Selling price: 79.00
- Product cost: 22.00
- Card processing: 2.59
- Blended CAC: 26.00
- Shipping + packaging: 8.50
At a 26.00 blended CAC this order keeps roughly 25% of revenue. A two-point rise in CAC moves more profit than a two-point change in anything else — check the sensitivity tool.
Frequently asked
Where do I put my Shopify subscription?
Under Overhead → Monthly total, together with apps and themes. Enter your expected monthly order count and OmniProfit allocates it per order.
How do I model CAC rather than TACOS?
Switch Advertising to “Per unit” and enter your blended customer acquisition cost. TACOS is more natural on marketplaces; CAC is more natural for DTC.
Does this account for repeat customers?
No. This is deliberately a single-order unit-economics model. If your first order is break-even by design because of repeat purchases, treat the result as your acquisition economics rather than your business economics.
